liam sexton Thanks. If you go to harborfreight.com and type in item #63601 it will show up. They are very very bright, one of the best & cheap, but a good short term alternative to way more expensive ones made for bikes (which I do plan on getting at some point.)

Can't I leave it running at like a red light and just rev the engine to keep it going? Or do I have to let the engine shut off

Can I ask a question, do I pull the clutch and the hit the breaks at the same time? my rear break is on the left hand side- and do I need to pull the clutch every time I need to break a little but don´t wanna come to a stop? and what happens if I kill the engine while driving, will it "switch back" to being a normal bike and I can use the pedals or do I need to stop? Thanks for the great video and sorry if my questions come across as stupid, I just got mine with an 80 cc engine and I wanna do it the right way.. :)
@AgelessNomad6 жыл бұрын
Thanks & no problem. You will have to disengage the clutch handle to brake and hit the brake almost at the same time, the clutch shortly before the brake if you need to slow down, stop faster or stop completely, the engine will remain running when you do, then of course you pedal up to speed a bit before letting the clutch out again, especially from a complete stop like at a stop light or it will choke out. If you don't let the clutch handle out, you will most likely choke the engine out braking to a complete stop with the clutch engaged and lock up the rear tire and then have to restart the bike again, because the engine cycle faces to much resistance from you braking while the clutch is engaged. Due to the weight of the person and bike you always need some momentum going forward when engaging the clutch again, this helps the engine face less resistance once those clutch pads meet the clutch plate again when engaging,. it will also help the life of those pads. It helps to see the engine work or know how the clutch inside operates to feel and know for the clutch and braking a bit better. (Clutch engaged: Clutch plate moves onto the clutch pads and rub together to cycle the engine piston, the quicker you engage, the faster that plate covers those pads to cycle the engine. Disengage is when that plate leaves the pads enabling you to pedal better.) In an emergency braking situation for whatever emergency, id probably hit the kills witch button while braking. So as long as that clutch is disengaged it is a normal pedal bike with or without the engine running. Oh yeah also, hehe, don't 100% assume the clutch disengage locking button will keep it disengaged on its own while you walk away from the bike while its running, sometimes rarely the vibrations can pop that clutch and your bike can take off with out you sitting on it, it can lurch forward and fall over if not worse. Hope that helps.

Does anybody here know why I have to pull the throttle as I let off the clutch to get my bike to actually engage the engine?

What about shifting gears? Or are the 2 stroke engines only one gear?
@Dragnmastralex4 жыл бұрын
I imagine you only use the gears when you are peddling without the engine. otherwise you don't need it since the motor doesn't use them it has its own chain on the opposite side. probably want to keep it in the lowest gear to make it easy to peddle because if you have to stop on a hill and try to get the bike up to speed that would be the easiest way.

Hi, I’m having some trouble with mine when it starts I have to apply throttle to keep the engine from stalling but if I use my clutch it stalls the engine completely

I bought a motorized bike from an old biker guy who builds them... Is it common to have a little drag while peddling without the engine on?
@AgelessNomad5 жыл бұрын
Thats no Zaku! I do mainly because its heavy with an engine on it, but other than that no. Your clutch plate may be rubbing on the pads a tiny bit with the engine off, the cable may need to be adjusted or the plate.

@liamfinnegan80854 жыл бұрын
I had that problem too. There are a couple places to adjust the throttle. Screw down the one by the handle bars and I'd the one on the top of the carb.. try to find a balance with those and it should idle with the clutch engaged

you seriously have to wait 5-10 minutes to restart if you accidentally killed the engine?
@AgelessNomad6 жыл бұрын
CONNIE HAWKINS No, sorry, I dont think I said that part very well. After running the bike for a while around town or whatever, its suggested to let the engine cool off for around 10 minutes before restarting it again. Its fine to restart from an accidental shutoff.
