I just love this channel. I don’t even have a helix but you guys have inspired me so much to be a better worship musician. Maybe one day I’ll have. Enough money to purchase one. Thanks guys!

Keep saving for one man. The pod go is pretty much a helix just smaller and cheaper. It's moreso like the HX stomp but still a great choice. Might not hurt to look into. We have the helix at my church and I've wanted it since the first time I used it. I got a pod go this past week and love it

Thanks so much for this video. I’m a new Helix LT owner and it was super helpful. Seems like less is more with editing presets and a more conservative approach to edits is a wise starting point. Really appreciate your channel and content.

I just moved all the Helix patches over to Native yesterday to get them where I can use them on my DI tracks, perfect timing

Setting up patches with the correct tempos takes an incredible amount of stress off, I do that as soon as I get a song list. and then tweak per song as I practice if I don't already have a patch for it.

Off subject but Y’all should get line 6 to send you a Catalyst amp. I think you’ll be impressed. It’s a very good option for the pedal guys who want a amp option with a DI. Anyways keep up the good work. Y’all are awesome.

This is great. I've watched a ton of videos and bought a few patches and LOVE them. The drives especially. Could you make a video explaining the delay settings and how to optimize those. There's one that is especially high demand on the DSP and I can't figure out how they work and how to replicate them.

My question, because you mentioned Duesenberg, of which I have a Starplayer TV - do you consider the HB to be that of a more mello output and therefore recommend the SC IRs? Love your channel!

Very helpful video! Thank you! I was pretty familiar with the Helix before - but still learned important stuff. One thing i struggle with is fitting snapshot related parameters. Is there an easier way than adjusting it one by one through all the snapshots?

I just picked up a PodGo last week so I’m completely new to it all. My Gretsch has p90 pickups and I’m struggling with the free AC30 patch. Especially once I kick in the drive. I should preface with saying I am using headphones currently with the podgo so maybe that is the issue. I’ll take all the recommendations/help I can get.

ok so are you experiencing an issue?

@@bmitchellmusic It just seems super hot, if that makes sense. I’ve turned the guitar pad on in the global settings and that seems to have helped a little. However it just seems super loud and distorted. I did watch the previous video to make sure I was loading everything up correctly.
@bmitchellmusic2 жыл бұрын
@@codymoreton got it. So first try the HB patch and see what you think. P90s are SCs but just try it out and see if the gain staging is a bit more on par with what you are wanting. Then make EQ adjustments as we mention in the EQ section. If that's not the route you wanna go make gain adjustments as we mention in the gain section :)

I'm really struggling, I download these patches that sound so good in the demo then I buy and install them and the effects are either so mild and dull or too over the top (like lead snapshots). I wind up having to tweak them so much I feel like its nothing like the original patch.

This is a great video. I use a Stomp and an HXFX together so I have purchased the patches for the Stomp and then copy and pasted where needed. I recently got Helix Native and am contemplating buying a Helix floor. Question, is there a way to get some notes on how the Helix floor patches are set up w/ button assignments, snapshots, parameter changes, etc. so I can then set up a floor version from the Stomp version or would I need to repurchase the floor versions? Thanks!

We will just get ya the Helix patches. Most helpful thing for us would be to email us with which patches you’ve purchased and we can get em to you!

I recently installed a pair of Modern 71 WRHBs from The Creamery onto my tele. Instantly noticed that the tone was brighter and harsh at times. Found myself bringing down the master volume as one of the levels to make it a bit more mellow. You didn't mention tweaking the master volume in the vid. Is that recommended?
@bmitchellmusic2 жыл бұрын
In my experience WRHBs are pretty low output but really sit between a SC and an HB. Have you tried both of those patches to see what happens? Master volume will alter that base amp tone a good bit. It can mess with the amp dynamics so I only adjust that when that’s exactly what I want to do. Harsh and bright sound like maybe you’re using the HB patch and maybe should try the SC?

Was looking at you messing with your amp settings on the AC30 patch. What do you think the value is in having the hum up above anything other than 0? I took it away to get rid of hum (I'm sure you're surprised haha), but it didn't seem to change the actual tone at all. Thoughts? Thanks!
@renoutlaw83712 жыл бұрын
Not super knowledgeable about those parameters on the bottom of the AC30 but a lot of them have to do with making the amp sound more "real"

Do you go to a restaurant for food? Or just make all of it at home? Or even better, do you just grow your own food? Always a reason why people may want to purchase something. You not wanting to doesn’t negate why someone else may decide they want to ;)

@@bmitchellmusic excuse me sir, but we are not talking, about the same topic. Creating a patch, is nowhere like cooking or growing food. So your point on spending is not valid. But I got your.meaning. (sorry bad English)
