If you have the original Gig Performer and the PA version do all templates/presets then show up in both versions or do they have separate libraries for them

Templates and supplied plugins are different between these two editions.

@@murraywebster1228 I've seen posts on the web where people have combined the underlying templates to show both but it's certainly not something that we officially support.

Yes, they are, in v4. What version of Gig Performer are you using?

Hi Brett. I found this tutorial immensely helpful. However in my Gig Performer 4 (unlocked) I only see a small subset of the templates that appear in your tutorial. I can't find the others anywhere on the PluginAlliance or GigPerformer websites. Are you able to provide a link to where I can download to file or files ? looking at my Program subfolder on Win 10, it appears to be called "gp.templates". Thanks Brett

Hey Alan, that's one of the differences between the Deskew edition and the Plugin Alliance edition - different templates. Please google for "Gig and Rackspace Files" to find a great collection of 100+ complete files for Gig Performer.

Plugin Alliance has its own collection of plugins which it makes available to its customers through its various bundles. Consequently, they include different templates that highlight how to use their plugins with Gig Performer

@@nemanjapudar201 thank you so much ! that's great. I checked that out and already tried a couple. super fun taking them and remapping the included panel widgets to my own controllers and plugins. really appreciate you pointing me to that collection Nemanja. 🙂

@@DavidJamesonPhD thanks, that makes sense, being a value-add company I guess PA are understandably seeking to promote their own plugins via the strategic alliance with Deskew's fantastic GigPerformer 😊 perhaps they could monetise their GigPerformer templates though, by offering them as a store purchase and thereby promote their other plugins. Anyway. no problem... the tip from Nemanja was helpful as a resource. cheers and thanks foe taking the time to explain the context David 👍 😀

Latency is a very important consideration for FOH, there are many considerations, the desks own latency added to io latency added to the plugin latency can get you very quickly into trouble, for FOH, optimally I like to work with 96k due to aliasing problems and quality, this means you need a fast and powerful pc, start using convolution plugins then big chunks of capacity starts to get eaten, by the way the movement to using GPU for computing is very exiting, my main problem with the setup is not just the total latency but the reaction latency due to accessibility moves to get to the plugin controls, I think a FOH special rack would be a good start, basically imitating real analog gear kind of
