Very good question! You just ask: “con leche sin lactosa o leche vegetal” (with non dairy milk or vegetable milk) 😊👍🏻

Leche manchada! That's what I should have asked for. I got in such a pickle in Santander, ordering café con leche, then tried to order a big cup with hot milk in to manufacture my own at the table (Mí mujer will only drink americanos or lattes and nothing in-between)

Hola, soy de Santander, en Santander, somos diferentes al resto de España, respecto al café, existe, café solo, cortado (pequeño con poca leche) , mediano (pequeño con más leche) y con leche (el de desayuno y taza grande)

😂😂 I know it’s confusing but remember the h is not pronounced so /ielo/ in an English equivalent it does sound similar to /yerlo/ tbf
