This is an awesome vid. I have a ton of PL cards for a person who does no PL...haha. Well only maybe two of your small orange bins within that container. But I like the color coding. I think I should do this to use mine up a bit more often. :)

Re-watching before I tackle my colour coding now that I've got lots of partial kits. This will probably seem weird but I'd love to see your process for selecting cards for your pl. I tend to make up a kit to use which has been based on an actual kit received. But now that I've got a bit of a stash to use I'd love to see how you select your pl cards to use for your layout (from your stash as per this vid). Thanks lovely x

Hi Adele!! I recently purged a ton of PL cards! What I have left fits in one Alex (wide) drawer unit. I keep them in the plastic containers that the core kits used to come in. It looks nice when I open the drawer, but they are stacked on top of each other in collections. So I have to pull out the stack to look through them to see if there are any I want to use. I'm not sure I like it that way, I'm considering the color sorting for sure. You have so many pretty cards! :) Cheri

scrappinnwrappin Thanks Cheri! For over a year I had mine in the kits but found I was forgetting some of my absolute favs because there's so many freaking cards in the core kits lol! It was a big job to colour sort, but worth it in the end! Thanks for watching lovely x

Oh my goodness! I covet this video like nobody's business, seriously. This is a project that I really need to take on and make happen, at some point. It's either going to take a couple days of the week or a weekend for me to do this and sort it all out and things of that nature. I have like a butt ton of PL cards (thankfully I'm blessed with two wonderful girls who are my friends) and they love to share. So, yeah... this happened. :)

Susan Haugland It was so overwhelming at first to sort them all, but since I've done it I haven't regretted it at all, I scrap by colour so why not sort by colour? (duhhh! wish my brain had thought of it a year earlier lol) Have fun sorting! :)

Love love love. I'm want store my projectlife cards by colour to. Does anybody here have a suggestion on with containers to use? I would like the Close to my heart one but I can;t seem to find it here in the UK

Susan vdM Wish I could help! Maybe check out your local hardware store? Once you look at containers with a new perspective, they can be used for so many things (that makes me sound like I have a container fetish...I don't...much lol). Hope you can find something! TFW :)

Inkie Quill Thank you Adele. I found the one you use on Amazon. This one had yellow compartments but the rest is the same. I don't even have a need for it at the moment but in November (yeah I know its 6 months from now) I will get some core kits from America. Yay for family over there who love to shop :) :)

Pearl Supernault Hehe I have! I started in about August 2013. One piece of advice, but partial core kits second hand or the smaller value and mini kits when you start off, the core kits have so many of the same freaking card!! That's why I have destashed so many, too many repeating designs. I'm uploading a Project Life for beginners vid in a fortnight which might give you some tips and tricks too! :) TFW

so did it hurt to sort by colour? I tried it once and the OCD in me screamed for a week until I put them all back in packs... I know, pretty sad hey? Stupid thing is I scrap by colour/theme and everything else is sorted that way... but with my PL cards I just freak out, and I have no idea why!! Maybe I need to knock them off and after I finished crying that they're all jumbled then just sort by colour? HAHAHA

Chelle Beeby Lol I thought the same thing when I started! What about sorting them in colour order within the different kits to start off with? See if you like it, then maybe mix similar kits together then (gulp!) try and do them all! It's so much easier since I did it, especially with the filler card sections, in case I have a big empty pocket and don't want to fill it with journalling of a photo. TFW and good luck! :)

Inkie Quill well that's a good idea, start slow... I can do that!! When I did sort by colour I only had two kits, so it wasn't a big deal to put them back, but now I have more than I could ever use in this lifetime and then some, so it truly does scare me to jumble them all up, but I love how you think... off to try!!
