We oven cooked our beetroot to make it extra yummy! Why not give it a go too? :)
You will need:
Beetroot
Baking Tray
Kitchen Foil
How to prepare:
1. First, start by topping and tailing the beetroot. Leave about an inch of stalk at the top and a little bit of root at the bottom.
2. Once the beetroot is prepared it can be washed.
Note : No need to worry about removing any moisture.
3. Individually wrap each piece of beetroot in kitchen foil and place them on the baking tray.
4. Place them in the over at 180°C for 1 hour.
5. In order to check if the beetroot is done, insert a skewer or sharp knife into the beetroot.
Note: It should be quite soft and bare in mind that larger beetroots can take longer to cook. If they are still a bit hard, pop them back in the oven.
6. If the beetroot is not fully cooked, after 10 minutes repeat step 5.
7. Once they are cooked, allow them to cool slightly. Remove the top and bottom and the skin on the beetroot should just peal off easily
8. The beetroot is now ready for use in any of your favourite recipes or as part of a meal!
