Kudos to the woman in the video who not only speaks excellent English, but also independently challenges many so-called "high society" individuals. It's important to recognize that in India, speaking English is often perceived as a sign of high education or social status, but this perception needs to change. English is simply a language used for communication, just like any Indian language. It's not a big deal if someone speaks English, and if you don't know the language, there's no need to feel embarrassed. You can simply converse in whichever language you feel comfortable with. It's high time we shift our mindset and recognize that all languages are equal.
@abhinavchauhan7864 Жыл бұрын
She does not speak excellent english. She speaks English with retroflex sounds. She pronounces t as ट, d as ड, p as प, l as ल, and r as र
@saiekrishna Жыл бұрын
@@abhinavchauhan7864 Effective communication is about getting the message across, and being able to understand and be understood by others. Pronunciation and accent are important, but they are not the only factors that determine how well someone communicates in English. When someone is learning to speak English, it is important to encourage them and help them build their confidence, rather than focusing on their mistakes. With time and practice, their English skills will improve, and they will be able to communicate more effectively in any setting. It's important to keep in mind that these individuals may come from distant parts of the city and may not have access to formal English language education. Despite these obstacles, they are able to speak English to the extent that they do, which is impressive and commendable in my opinion.
@abhinavchauhan7864 Жыл бұрын
@@saiekrishna but why do you want to speak English in the first place? Chinese, russian, german, japanese and arabs dont speak English and they are much better than us in every aspect. Believe me I never got any education, not even hindi medium, my father didn't even send me to basic school what to speak of english education and i can still speak English to a alright extent. Its a useless thing. There is not much use of it. There are other things such as coding and stuff which are much more useful. Also if you care about encouragement you won't be able to survive in the world. You should not look for encouragement outside. As for confidence, its a also a useless thing. Confidence is one of the most overrated thing in the world. It doesn't benefit you that much. Being skillful in something is much better than being confident. I've met many people who are so confident but still carry sacks 12 hours a day for 200 rupey daily to feed themselves.
@saiekrishna Жыл бұрын
@@abhinavchauhan7864 To begin with, the majority of the countries you mentioned do not uphold democratic values or the freedom of speech. In India, individuals have the freedom to choose what they wish to express or not express. Furthermore, you appear to contradict yourself, as you previously stated that the English language is a waste of time, yet you are proficient in it and are currently communicating in English. Regarding earnings, have you considered why the person in question posts their videos on KZbin? Their credentials indicate a considerable number of views, so it is not difficult to imagine how much they may be earning. Trust me, I personally struggled to learn English, but the benefits I have gained in terms of financial success and personal growth have been substantial. I would like to emphasize that discouragement is not my forte. Instead, I believe in encouraging individuals to pursue their passions and goals, as long as they are legal and ethical. Everyone has the right to express themselves and choose their own path in life, and it is not up to us to judge or discourage them based on our own opinions or biases. Let us support and uplift each other, and strive towards a more inclusive and positive society. Good luck abhinav.

No matter how many people say don't judge a book by its cover, majority of the world still confuses good looks and high social status with intelligence. Despite this, those fully believe in themselves will continue to challenge the stereotype until it completely vanishes. More power to you, Yashoda! I admire you for your confidence, indomitable courage and knowledge which I haven't seen in many so-called language experts on social media. Guys, as far as English is concerned, it is merely a language. With some advanced English vocabulary and fake British or American accent, you may confuse those who don't know English well for some time. But those who do know English well, will appreciate you only if you make sense with your thought-provoking ideas just as Yashoda is doing. You must have seen many speakers who speak in their first language (mother tongue) and are still widely appreciated for their speeches, because they make sense, make people think differently. And in order to improve your thought-process, to be able to look at things more rationally and differently, you need to develop the habit of reading.

India has a practice of judging by birth. It’s a disease ingrained in Indian psyche of caste system. The assumption of just a language is simplistic. Not all languages give access to modern scientific documents like English do. English helped millions of Indians to break poverty and ignorance. So it is not as simple as it is put! For example, expertise in Hindi may help someone to sell panipuri all over india and nothing more.

You are right! The good people that are understanding will be proud of you and be glad to help. If they are no good at all and are mean to you, then they are the type of people to be mean no matter what, and their opinions should definitely not stop you. Even if you grew up feeling afraid, now you can teach yourself to forgive yourself and try again. Good luck to all English learners, and good luck to all the people learning new things.
