I am thanking myself for making this video! I had to replace the printer because of an electrical surge and got the newer version which is L2350DW and the same instructions apply. One of the most useful things I've found for making you tube videos is that I always wind up having to use them myself.

WORKED !!! on HL- L2305W You did a good thing, Austin. This issue was driving me bananas. I spent at least 2 hours trying to get my printer to work. I tried my backup Lexmark printer, it did not work either. I was using two different computers to try to get the backup printer to work. It was a nightmare. I watched at least 10 other youtube videos about hacking into the cartridge and messing with the menu. You fixed it in 3 minutes. Blessings.

So far i have printed over 400 pages since it said "replace toner" Probably wasted hundreds of ££$$ over the past few years. Hope you were safe during the storm. I have friends in Raleigh NC who got a bit wet.

I have HL-L2340DW and after banging my head against the wall multiple times trying to reset a new toner cartridge, followed these instructions. The key for me was that even though the toner error never disappeared, the printer actually started printing again. I assumed it was still broken, but it wasn't. I also tried other suggestions like opening the front of the printer, then restarting the printer holding down the Go button, then pressing a convoluted series of buttons only to discover it still wouldn't print. Your instructions allowed my printer to print again. It still flashes a toner error, but at least it works!
