Yesh scout we did couple pain creeks had get out carry equipment and cannoe had have pack allow carry pluse carry cannoe could use allows fram pack hiking.special high frame.

Use have scout metal box hand warmer it held something never used it was given me .if had coals in it was to worried catch cloths on fire but scout had one.

Packing well is the same as packaging well, both are for shipping. Yeah the pocket heaters can be needed til at least mid June. That's about when the prevailing winds come from the south. Any time the wind is off Lake Superior it will be cool to cold. The deeper parts don't get much above 38. It's why canoers and kyakers die in July and August when the air temp could be in the 80s. One thing I want to try is to roll the leather straps like the cavalry did with the surplus straps. A partner when canoeing will help lift the pack on and off your shoulders. Like the Airborne guys, they can check to see if your pack is riding right and nothing is crooked. Now for the blade on that shovel.

@@honorableoutfitters My father and grandfather road me hard about cleaning after use. If you didn't do it right away, they would catch you in the middle of something you wanted to do or a TV show and make you go back and clean it. You learned after a while. I have to be after my family for the same, my son learned by the time he was an adult. Have a good one.

👍 Excellent demonstration. Years ago I used a Duluth Pack envelop style backpack on a 3 day camping trip in the Sonoran Desert. Worked really well, but did not need to hike any great distances with it.

You only trench if tent no floor modern tents have floor both convince and so water proof . Scout great helps limit impact nature. But yeah old no gloor tent be eoods or can tell rain need trench. What jice floorless tent you had look for good ground period now floor tent easy people just want get camp up not think lay land.
