Thanks, very helpful. What is the brand of your backpack?

Great! It’s made by Zpacks.

Nice idea, thanks. How thick is your packraft material? I have 420/ 840TPU and quite difficult make tiny pack.
@DIYPackraft4 ай бұрын
I have several different thicknesses, and yes, the thicker the fabric, the larger the roll. I use the same technique for all of them though.

Liked. Fantastic. Just saw your channel for the first time. I'm used to 0.7mm and 0.9mm 1000 denier PVC. Is there any TPU fabric that comes close to the toughness and strength of the PVC or is it much less tough? Thanks for any info.
@DIYPackraft3 жыл бұрын
Fabrics are made to the buyer’s specifications, so yes, a manufacturer can make a TPU coated fabric as thick and strong as you want (within reason). The only real advantage of PVC is that it’s relatively cheap.

What backpack do you use and is it fully waterproof?
@DIYPackraft4 жыл бұрын
It’s a Zpacks Arc Blast and no it’s not waterproof.

Open the zippers - better let them open - when rolling?
@DIYPackraft3 жыл бұрын
I try to keep them closed as much as possible to keep out dirt and debris. If some dirt or even a grain of sand sticks to the lubricant it can cause the zipper to leak, and then you have to clean it carefully to make it hold air again.

@@DIYPackraft OK, I learned this too. So closed is better, but dont brake it rolling in wrong direction.
