Ironically, I was trying to paint lava this morning. I've only been working with gouache for two days so that didn't go so well, 🙃but at least I'm no longer afraid to try things. Then I came across this video. Even though I can't see all the details in the photograph, it's enough to give me an understanding of how the scene and the fire can be broken down and painted. The subtle nuances of the colors really bring it to life. Thank you very much.
