The shot around 1:15 of the background and complete work on the tripod looks really cool, shows just how good your painting was.

Just prove paintings are never Finished. Someone could say to you before the rework "its amazing, don't touch it" and the same after the rework. Much appreciated for the process that teach how to rework dry painting. Need to override all and not just fixing. Thank you Samuel.

Thanks. Yeah, very often I leave my field paintings as they are but sometimes I can't resist adding details to them in the studio 🙂

Beautiful work Samuel! Your detailed and informative commentary is very much appreciated. It’s nice to see an artist at work but it’s even more enjoyable when you can join the two elements together in a calm and pleasant manner. A new fan from 🇨🇦

Beautiful! It looks so effortless for you. I REALLY NEED to learn to paint in this style. I live in an area in Canada that has "dinosaur hills" and I'd love to do them justice. If you have advice or pointers for me, I'd appreciate them.
@SamuelEarpArtist4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Marilyn. Can I suggest subscribing to my Patreon channel as I have full length painting tutorial videos on there that you can access for $5 per month and you get a new video every month. I also have individual videos on my website and there is my website blog which is full of written painting tutorials. I'll put all the links below. www.patreon.com/samuel_earp_artist www.samuelearp.com/downloads www.samuelearp.com/new-blog I hope this doesn't come across as a hard sell but I offer mentoring on Patreon where I can help you individually. You could send me some images of those Dinosaur Hills and I can tell you how to paint them. Thanks for subscribing.🙂

@@SamuelEarpArtist That's such a good deal, Samuel, but I have made a decision not to give my credit card # on line. I did have one bad experience - once burnt, twice shy, so to speak. It would have been a wonderful opportunity. Thx for replying to my message.

Brilliant as usual. One thing I've been pondering as of late and was thinking to ask you: Could light brown be called a low chroma orange?
@SamuelEarpArtist4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Not necessarily. Burnt sienna is a dark orange and you can see it's a low chroma orange when you add white to it. Burnt umber for example is actually a dark yellow and again the yellow is more clearly visible when you add white to it. 🙂
