How to paint a Hare, Watercolour painting demonstration

Hare! Whare? Thar! Oh, Hare. What's an airport in Chicago got to do with it? I like to paint animals and to watch others paint as well. I like seeing different techniques for painting hair, fur and hide/skin. This is good! I've marked it to watch often so I can get better. Thank you very much for sharing your skill, talent and instruction. This is VERY good.

I really enjoy watching this! What colors and brand of paint did you use for the fur? I love your work! New subscriber here!

Thanks for your kind words. The fur was painted using various mixes of Yellow Ochre, Burnt Umber and Burnt Sienna and a very small amount of Neutral Tint. For the highlights I used white gauche. All colours Winsor and Newton.

Did you use a reference photo? If so, may we see it? Can you tell us specifically where you applied the masking fluid? Thanks

Masking fluid was just applied to some of the foreground grass and two white patches on the nose, that's all. I try to avoid using masking fluid unless I really have to.
