I take it the color is set up for blood angles. Would you recommend the same shade of gloves for Ultramarines? I really like how the word bearer darkens up and contrasts nicely with the brown while not being garish. I just afraid the Blue pauldron will not work with it.
@BrushandBoltgun3 жыл бұрын
Hey Michael, thanks for watching! :) Yeah, I’ve done him as a Knights of the Chalice marine, which are the same red as Blood Angels. To be honest I think it should work with the Ultramarines too. If not you could try some Grey (maybe Eschin or Mechanicus Standard) and was them with Drakenhof Nightshade (shade) or Ultramarine Blue (contrast). That would give them a blue tint. My brain’s saying baneblade brown with Ultramarine contrast over, but not too sure how that would look… may have a play around later :)
@puppets19793 жыл бұрын
@@BrushandBoltgun Thanks, I think I will try it out with Mechanicus and Drakenhof. Just waiting for GW to ship my pains lol.

@BrushandBoltgun4 жыл бұрын
Cheers Leslie, very much appreciated. :-) A lot of the paints you can switch out for another similar one pretty easily so don't worry if you don't have the exact paint. Especially the Black and the White, they'll be fine from any range I reckon. :-). There's more Indomitus on the way! :-)

Another fantastic vid! Just ordered one from the 'bay - such a brilliant sculpt, and beautifully painted. Can I ask what you used to prime it? Seems a little glossy for citadel chaos Black, but an improvement imo.

@@BrushandBoltgun Excellent! I will love to see how you paint it! Summer in the south of Spain (Andalucía) is very hard and it is difficult to paint! Temperatures of 40 degrees ... However, before Indomitus, I have to finish several miniatures ...
@BrushandBoltgun4 жыл бұрын
Oof! 40 degrees? That'd dry out a wet palette in no time too, it's only been in the 20's a bit here recently and that's a pain! What's on the paint table at the moment? :)

@@BrushandBoltgun Spain is hell! Last summer, I was in the North of England and the temperature was most pleasant, and I even felt cold! I am currently painting: A Chaplain, a Lord of Blights (following your fantastic video), a plague marine and Aldrik Voldus! Let's see when I finish them ...
@BrushandBoltgun4 жыл бұрын
Ah yeah, we have some nice varied weather in the North (though Liverpool isn't as north as a lot of places!). It varies wildly, we had four days where the temp was 18, 26, 31, 18. You never know what you're going to get, though defo not 40! haha! Look forward to seeing them painted up man! :-D
@thanasisgeronimos91244 жыл бұрын
what you do is awesome...on the coat...but you should try doing what you do while the paints are wet ...to remove the effect that there is a layer just patched overtop the previous one...i believe the end effect would be smoother and cleaner...but it does takes time to make it...and i totally understand if you are not doing it to save time
@BrushandBoltgun4 жыл бұрын
Cheers Thanasis, very much appreciated! :) It’s all to do with time and the overall effect. I want to keep the tutorials easy enough for everyone to do without wet blending (I’ve done a bit on the nighthaunt but there’s no other real way to do then) if possible. I think if I wet blended there’d be maybe one video a fortnight rather than two full ones and two short ones. :) Now if I painted full time I could probably do both! Haha :)
