The paint colors I use include Ultramarine blue (green shade) cobalt blue, cerulean blue, and Titanium white for the sky. I used emerald green, hunters green, ivory black, and cadmium yellow for the green areas. For the flowers use two shades of a color of your choice, be creative!

Wonderful! Paint a layer of gesso on your paper before you begin. I would tape your paper down, otherwise it will move around as you try to paint. Also, be gentle so that you don't accidentally puncture the paper. Hope you have fun painting!

How fast you go through colors depends on the colors you use the most. Not about their size. I get 2 fl oz tubes most often. Some colors will last me a year, while the most used will last me maybe 3 months. So get more in the colors you use the most. I get the 16 fl oz of Titanium white because I use it a lot! It just depends on how much painting I do, on how fast I go through it. It is different every month, as sometimes I have large commissioned paintings, while other times I'm working small. So I use more white than any other color, so I go big. Paints can last a long time. Don't worry about over getting. I just get my paints ordered as I need them. If I'm going to use a lot of one color in my next painting, I will order it ahead of time. For example, an ocean painting recently I ordered more blue along with my canvases because I knew I needed it. It isn't also difficult for me to compromise either. For example, if I need an orange but I don't have a lot of it, I just mix it with what I have.

I needed to know whether we can use normal acrylic colours or heavy body is must ?

You need heavy body acrylic for the texture. Palette knife painting is more difficult with regular acrylics.
