Tracie---I decided to try to paint this guy today. Mine doesn't look quite like yours but I am so happy with how it turned out! I wasn't sure if it was going to be a success or epic fail so I used paints I had on hand (Apple Barrel, I know don't cringe, lol) and bought some inexpensive brushes in the sizes you used. Since this was going to be my very first attempt at "real" painting on a canvas I wanted to prove to myself I could do this before investing in high quality brushes and paints. I understand after completing this that those items would have made all the difference in application! Overall, I can craft and paint houses (walls) like nobodies business and understand how to blend makeup but to sit down and follow along on a canvas is a different story. Thanks for being such a good teacher! My family is in such awe of my first attempt. Next painting...that cute little Gnome! Lisa

At 8:55. So it's okay that your snowman wouldn't possibly stand up if it were real? That's the real beauty of video. It doesn't have to be exactly what it seems. The base would have to be much wider for it not to topple over in two seconds.

Is there a Black Chalk Pencil you would recommend for tracing onto White Canvas?

A black charcoal pencil could work. But for white canvas I typically just use regular drawing pencil.

What brand acrylic paint do you use?

A mixed combo of brands! Liquitex BASICS is the brand I use the most. I also use Artist Loft, Royal Essentials, DecoArt Americana Premium.
