This look and colours took me back to the 70s. The church in our villages fence had the exact same colour and age as this. Im sure a lot of the down pipes and cast iron guttering was this colour too. Love it.

I have a bed frame almost exactly like this in my basement storage room. Just sitting there. I was going to sell it as is. A cute white metal bed frame. But NOT ANYMORE!! Cinnamon not only looks good as rust but smells lovely. You can sprinkle cinnamon on your carpet inside the front door as well. It gives a wonderful comforting feeling as you come in. It's very welcoming and warm.

Jonathon, we have those cast iron park benches here in the US, or used to. Now often in old residential areas. Every spring they get painted with that thick high gloss oil paint, sometimes black, next year brown, but most often a dark green. Usually done by a very sloppy city worker with lots of drips. Can't remember if it was the 80's but they used to mass produce "brass" beds and they were not expensive, very ornate, tacky with a very thin brass coating then lacquered. Lots of glass top tables, shelving, lamps, with the thin tubular metal like a soda can. I love this solution. It really does look like those old, heavy, friendly, cast iron park benches. Thank you.

But think, why throw something away because it "looks cheap"? You can have something that is beautiful without much effort or expense. I think you said you are dyslexic like I am, but I can tell from across the room if something is solid brass or silver or not, but this does NOT look fake to me at all. I could get a floor lamp or bedframe like that out of the garbage. You seem like a lovely man and your voice is wonderful. I really like the dresser that looks like stone, I think you put it in your hall, and that ball you did. I think I mostly appreciate the subtleness of the finishes.🥰 If I could suggest, could you do a junkie laminate old Ikea bookshelf or end table?

Greetings from the Beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Perfect outcome. Leaning against that old wood (door?) is a pleasing combination. Sigh... (I'm mentally drooling. Mentally, not physically!) Now for your next project...drum roll please...I think the space (yard) between your home and your workshop could use a Orangery (greenhouse) for the Gardening lover in your family. Or, how about a Gazebo or Gazebo shaped Greenhouse? You could put the bed frame inside...as a backdrop for various plants et al. Add a Bistro set or ice cream parlor set...complete with the same lovely paint job (with lots of chippy goodness) and SOMEHOW give everything a really good protective top coat (suitable for outside). I could go on and on....but I'll reign it in...and attempt to stop myself (it's hard though). Wouldn't you both love a cuppa cuppa or "?" (out there? Just sayin'. Okay then, let your own creative juices flow. Think of all the Painted Love Projects that may come about that you can show and teach all those who love your videos and tutorials.🤔

No I never sealed with the wax after the cinnamon just added a touch more glue over the top it does deep in the colour but looks really realistic😊❤️❤️

Hello there and welcome to my channel, thank you very much for the compliments and yes, the wall was painted with texturising medium to make the paint thick and I used a trowel to apply it. I really must do a tutorial on how that’s done another one for the list of things to do. 😊😊
