Mate so happy I found this video I just painted my midsole and I can't belive how I just kinda touched them with my nail tio and it started peeling, I've been wondering about jacquard paint to be honest I use a airbrush.. Well just started using one.. No one told me I had to have a degree in science to use them with a airbrush and I don't know if I'm putting too much thinner.. Not enough thinner the wrong paint flat white or normal white.. I was losing the plot.. Thanks so much mate I watched your video and straight ordered alod of stuff. Top lad!!

I hear that the Jaquard Paint is supposed to be good....i have a few colours like 3 - 5 but mostly Anjelus.... but at the end of the day no matter what kind of modding your doing its all about trial and error but now we have the Spider web we can post our reviews of these items.

Hello, I would like to change the color of the midsole on my Jumpman Two Treys from white to black. It is a relatively soft foam. I asked Angelus how to do it properly, although they do not recommend painting the midsole, they gave me a few steps that people are happy with. Lightly sand the area - this creates a more porous surface for the paint to adhere to. Prep and deglaze the area - this cleans the any dirt and removes factory finish, this is essential to give the best results. (Optional but people find it works) Spray with an adhesive aerosol, Angelus recommend the brand Bulldog Mix the paint at a 50/50 ratio with 2-Hard Paint 2-3 thin layers of paint with drying time in between. (Optional but recommended) Use a finisher of your choice, this gives extra protection and gives the desired finish. The question is, has anyone painted such a foam sole and does it last long enough? Or would it be better to use a marker, something like SneakersSER +?

That's the thing some times if you buy yourself some shoes you have to buy 2 or 3 of the same variant so that you can make at least one of them stand out from the crowd..... For Example (scramble eggs Fry eggs lol) If they only done 3 colourways and you decide to do some MAD ting certain people will know that there are only 3 Colour ways but you have come up with something totally different.... You might need to invest in some Neck braces as certain people will be steering at your feet.... But thats a good thing.... Excuse me Sir or Miss your shoes are very nice, can i ask you a question where did you get those from...... 😁😁😁😎😎😊

What do you mean “that little bit longer”? How long should this last? After it cracks, do you repaint it? I bought some inexpensive black shoes with light grey midsoles. I just wanted them all black. I tried painting them, it looked great when I finished. I wore them once and they cracked terribly 😂 I don’t mind, the shoes were for work, they cost $20 (Fila), if I have to throw them away, I don’t mind. It was a learning experience. Now I know I was missing steps. Acetone and a sealer, probably the wrong type of paint as well.

Great vid, thx. I would like to paint the side of the sole on some Vans and just add that well known thin black stripe / line which goes around the whole shoe. I just don't like the Vans soles without them most of the time and it annoys me they're omitting it more and more recent years, it just looks so much thicker while this famous stripe which they always had in the past just breaks the optical thickness of the sole and just adds so much style to it somehow. What is the best paint to use for this? The line is always higher on the upper side of the Vans sole so was thinking maybe Tire paint pens or a Posca paint pen could do? I live in The Netherlands so not sure what's available via Intl. Shipping from the stuff you appraise etc. Thx!

Flat paint has less acrylic in, hence it has a matter finish. A 95% acrylic and up has a slight sheen to it hence its more flexible.

I have a pair of new sneakers and on the sides there is a nice size section of rubber and it got smoke damage, the rubber was white and not it's a light yellow. Can I use angelus paint to make the rubber white again? Also, should I use a paint sealer or no? If I do need a sealer would you recommend a certain brand? Greay video!

I would think that no matter what you use for paint or coloring, that after it keeps, or dries and then worn for a walk to the nearest stop sign, it would immediately start wearing off of the shoe tread.

I need help! I got these shoes that have very thick mid soles and the fabric is elastic like, and I want to paint the soles and maybe the fabric also. I don't know what to do! I don't know if I'll mess my shoes up, or how to prevent the chippage. I have fabric medium and an assortment of varnishes, and I can't figure out which varnish i should use, and whether or not to paint or to embroider on the fabric. My varnishes/finishes: Mod Podge, Hard Coat Mod Podge - for furniture, Americana Decoupage, DecoArt Triple Thick Clear Gloss Glaze, and Apple Barrel Fabric Medium.

Good job, its much better! Why do shoe brands come out with weird color combinations of shoes? Especially on retroes? They release obnoxious colorways that often do not match anything and are sometimes too over the top. If they stay with the OG colorways, or within close proximity to the OG colorways it would be fine.
