Which canvas size u are using I am new in paintings so which size of canvas is good for me?

An 8x10" canvas panel is what I'm using. It is also easy to put in a frame, just pop out that glass and there you go. Have fun painting!

It depends on the brand but I would give the kit a try. For the price, it is a good deal just to have the easel. If the paints are no good, and you're on a budget, Arteza has inexpensive paints that are good for beginners. I hope that helps!

Poster paints can be blended but they will be harder to blend. This is because they are usually made with a starch and so they don't have the smooth consistency like acrylics.

I am so glad this helped you. You can ask whatever you want ;D So poster paints are good for small projects that you don't care much if they get ruined. The poster paints will blend, but poster paints don't blend very easily because they are made from a starch. That means they flake when dry and look chalky. I would invest in some cheap acrylics at the craft/art store if you like poster paints because of the cheaper price. Here is a cheap set of acrylics on sale right now on Amazon: amzn.to/2bCGwjA

How did I not see this comment! Sorry. Don't apply water to your canvas before painting. Make sure your canvas is nice and dry. The binder in the paint needs the canvas to hold onto, plus it spreads the color (pigments) and binder too far apart and the quality of the painting will be lower. - Awesome name too!

Certainly, I am all about using what you have. Make sure to move the sponge side to side all the way off the canvas because if you stop on your canvas it will leave the sponges texture and you will notice this. Have fun!

In the lesson plan I talk about each step in more detail, you can find that here: www.createfulart.com/store/p15/Sunset_Beach_Silhouette_Lesson_Plan.html As far as colors I simplified the lesson by using basic colors. All you need is your most primary colors, red, blue and yellow and you will mix in white. If you don't have an orange or purple all you need to do is mix red and yellow for orange and red and blue for purple. Here is the paint set I used for specific color names: amzn.to/2kG8pqW

Thanks for your feedback. I need some more information so I can help you. Do you know the color wheel? What portion of the painting was the colour mixing unclear? When I showed how to paint the sky I showed how to start with the white and which colors to use as you move out to the dark blue. This is so that you would not mix blue with orange for example because it makes brown. Was that confusing? Thank You!

Your water line under the back island is a little wonky...😅 (Sorry had to give you grief!) Looks great I like how you don't necessarily have to paint the water horizon line all the way across the picture. More atmosphere
