Hi dearest Ginger & Jon ! Wish you a great day ! Most probably you’ll be having your morning cuppa while you read this sweet Ginger ! I am too since I could not be on the Live , I watch it first thing in the morning ! There is nothing better than starting the day with such excellent company with You ! I love how every technique you use is always fully explained in the easiest possible way and I love the misty smokey technique you did today ! Love the subtle feel to it ! You always find different subject to get us familiar with so many topics and objects to paint ! Your Academy is bursting with such a variety of subject ! Those Little Puppies that you showed are simply adorable !! I need to practice doing fur as my son has a cocker spaniel and he has been nagging me to do one of her ! She is a show off when she sees the camera !! I also treasure the way you always encourage us in the PAC ( personal art coaching !) we all need that from time to time .... we all get a frustrated at some point in time but you dear Ginger are alway there with a kind word and to explain what to do ! I believe the flowers are African violets, at least that’s what they look like to me. I can see why you fell in love with this artist. Couldn't stay last night so I finished watching this morning. I love these violets so much....what a beautiful painting! Thank you for introducing us to another fabulous ODG...love his florals. This is so valuable learning about the background lights and darks and what it can do for your subject. Hi, Ginger! I bought some pre-prepped panels from Jerry's Art. They are gold and pearl. Didn't know what or how I'd paint on them until I saw this violets painting! Can't wait to try it.
