I have taken expensive art lessons but I feel this one video has taught me a lot more than all of those put together. I especially love the economy of strokes that results in such natural effects. Thank you.

it's amazing that i didn't think it looked good at all until the last few seconds when you added the hill in, adding the land completely changed the perspective and made it look very realistic

Thanks so much! I see a Ron Ranson influence as well. This tutorial will help me immensely. Learning the hake can be very frustrating to me, but I am not giving up!

Arches 140 # paper, he stated in the video but I missed it at first too! I think it looks plastic-like because of the wash he puts on it before even starting.

What I find hiliarious is that I didn't see the Jerry artarama name or anything I just clicked on the video and also two days ago i watched a video with this guy in with oil paints, But for some reason today, in the beginning of the video I was like wow I know where I recongize this guy from, the "back to school" cataloge from Jerrys Aratarama. I'm an idiot. lmao! but loved the video!

That's why watercolorists are gonna be seen as sketchers forever. Watercolor is more than just use the water, you need chromas in order to get a real painting; yeah, it's true that it was pretty much the academic way (work quickly and shit), but it seems very amateur for me too.
