Flowers and Foliage Episode 40: How To Paint A Watercolour Carnation
The Carnation and the snowdrop (from last week's tutorial) are both the birth flowers of January so it seemed the perfect way to start the new year. The carnation petals form in a similar way to painting a peony, I hope you enjoy it!

i loved painting carnations!! this tutorial felt really easy to follow and i am so pleased with the results! i love the idea of a bouquet later with multiple flowers (or just with multiple ways to paint the same flower (opened, profile, etc)
