How To Paint A Watercolour Tulip

No god no. I knew this would one day happen. I've been painting for several years in acrylic, bought some watercolours, cant use them and have forever had zero interest in painting a girly flower. I'm a man who likes knocking walls down, cutting thick wood, fixing leaks, clearing drains etc. Im now off to buy me some quality brushes to paint some tulips. I blame you entirely. I will never be the same again!

Hi Harriet, I found painting the tulip was much easier than painting the stems and leaves. I think I needed more of a concentrated color on my brush. There is also a delicate balance with dropping in color. A scarce amount of diluted color on the brush worked best for me. The amount of water is key! I need to practice painting stems and leaves.
