Thank you for your wonderful comment! I have had viewers with very little drawing/art skills follow along with this video and achieve results that they are happy with. Basic drawing foundations are always helpful in any type of art, BUT they are not necessary. Every type of painting is usually composed of simple lines and shapes that are built upon each other. That is all that is required. I would recommend that you try a few of these first, and then if you feel that you need to learn drawing, then watch or take a few drawing lessons (KZbin has good resources and you can find library books about drawing). What does 140lb paper mean in international standard measurements?

Hi Matt. That is a great question that I did not take into consideration when I added my material subtitles. 140lb watercolor paper is also 300 Grams per square meter (gsm or g/m²). This is the number that you want to be looking for when you purchase watercolor paper. I use cold press paper, which has a bit of tooth or texture to it. Hot press paper is very smooth. As a general rule: the higher the number is, the heavier the paper is in weight. I recommend a minimum paper size of at least 5 inches by 7 inches. I hope this answers your question.

My biggest frustration using water color….

These houses can be colored with other types of paint, crayons, pencil crayons, markers etc. I mostly use watercolor just to add some color to the drawing. Nothing special.😀💛💚💙
