I'm just scared of trying...becasue I do remember the art classroom voices and comparing my creative products with that of others. I know what looked good and what didn't and I didn't understand that I could try to emulate others before I find my own way. I'm still right at the beginning of trying this out but was really heartened to work in a secondary school and see art being taught in such a different way to my experience. It was about observing other artists and noticing what they did and why it worked and then trying to produce something in their style. I would have loved that and perhaps my artistic journey wouldn't have been put on hold for 40 years!

My problem is that i dont even know how to find my own creativity, because im always on youtube learning everyone elses creativity.

I do stop myself being free because I worry about making something I like or someone else will like. I am trying to let go and let my emotions and intuition take over. It's not easy

Here's a suggestion - Doodle on bigger pieces of paper and start to make the shapes and patterns bigger. That helps to ease into a freer space to start letting go. 🎨🖌️😊
