How to Paint/Airbrush RC Bodies Tutorial: 1 of 5: (mounting and prepping the body)

This is Episode 1 of a 5 video series for my first paint/airbrushing tutorial. In this video series I'll be covering the painting process of not just one, but two dirt oval RC bodies. These are in preparation for the upcoming Halloween Havoc race at ERC. With a Halloween themed race I decided to do Ghostbuster themed cars.
In this video I will show you the process of mounting and prepping your RC body for paint.
We also go over some design elements as well as vinyl cutting talk since I'm using vinyl paint masking for my designs.
when the painting process is complete both bodies will be done in 100% paint and not a single sticker will be on them.

What's the name of the Mask/vinyl you use?

DaleMilam, I use the Avery White Vinyl Paint Mask, they do refer to it as paint mask. They make two versions, one in white, one in yellow. In my own personal opinion, the white works better and adheres in tight bends much better over the yellow option.

Hope to learn about the Silhouette or Cricot stuff. How difficult is it to learn to creates stickers from internet images? Thanks great tutorial! Excuse my english. I am a french speaking person.

Thank you Wilfben1 and your English seems just fine to me. Its not difficult at all. In fact, I learned how to use my Silhouette Cameo mostly from watching KZbin. Its very user friendly and there are a ton of KZbin videos/channels that do a great job showing how to use it properly. Creating stickers from internet images is pretty easy as the software has a trace tool. But I do a lot of my own design work through various other programs as well. What is the car based off, I was wanting to get back into 2nd off-road racing but the only option where I’m at is pulling, crawling and dirt oval. So I’m looking at doing the dirt oval late model and was told the traxxas bandit would be the best start base.

The car featured here is a GFRP Havoc. I recommend before buying any dirt oval car to visit your track. Some tracks run certain cars, some run all types. For instance locally, we don't see any Bandits. It's usually Traxxas Slash based or associated buggies or purpose built cars like this havoc.
