I really enjoyed this tutorial, even its music, very helpful and inspiring 👍👍👍

This has been a great video. I am hearing more comments about tone and saturation. Without a background in colours, a video explaining how to know when and where to change the tone or saturation would be most appreciated.

Seems silly to have to even suggest, but for those of us who aren't as artistically inclined but still want to try mixing the colors, it might be helpful to describe *how* the greens vary. For instance, i've got model color black green and lime green (which are close to dark black green and livery green it seems) but i'm not 100% how to mix into those mid tones, or if i can even do this with those colors.

can you show a tutorial on 28mm model, lots of us dont paint busts (only regular sized 28mm 32mm minis)

Hey Angel, awesome result! I'm just a beginner, but I love to paint orcs. I have a question: for this bust, did you thin down the game color paints also with water or just using the Matt medium?
@DarkAvatar1313 Жыл бұрын
That what the wet pallet does. It's basically a tray with a wet sponge with a piece of unwaxed parchment paper on top of it.

I’m a beginner and just bought the Orcs&Goblings painting set from Vallejo. With all respect.. It was suposed to be a tutorial but the artist clearly doesn’t know how to teach whats he’s doing. He’s obviously a great artist, but theres no chance that a beginner reach a similar result as the image of the box paints. Giraldez has so much expertise, but I don’t know even if he knows what he is doing in this video, as he seems guided more by intuition than anything else.

Hello Luiz, as you said, Angel Giraldez is a great artist here in Spain and well-known all over the world. It's obviously difficult to achieve the same results due he's a miniature professional with many years of experience (approx. 20 years) but we're sure that constant practice will make you improve a lot. That's the secret so don't despair! 😊 For painting the model, you must first apply base color. Then add lights and shades progressively, lights in higher parts and shades in deeper areas, and finish with details. Blurring colors will be not as easy as it seems but constant work pays off. The more you practice the better results and learning you get! 😊💪🏻

Why were the ears painted yellow?
@vallejocolors Жыл бұрын
Ears are located in a higher position, so light makes them to have more luminosity than deeper and lower areas :)

Erm...... I know that people these days think Orcs are green due to certain companies pushing that theory. But my Orcs are brown or black, down to popular myth. But once upon a time a certain company called Citadel Colour made a paint called Orc Brown.Which disappeared very quickly?? So if Orcs are Brown or Black and Goblins are Green, Hobgoblins are Red or Orange. A video on painting these ...??? Please, in traditional colours.

Super simple?! There's no way painting this bust was this easy...paint on my wet palette either dries too quick or becomes a puddle of water, my brush doesn't hold it's shape, and I either end up painting with too much paint, or paint that is too watered down.
@vallejocolors Жыл бұрын
Hello Kotec525! Thank you for your message! We completely understand that painting miniatures can be challenging sometimes, especially if you're starting out or you are trying new techniques, figures, paints, tools, or whatever... Angel has over 20 years of experience, so it's understandable if you can't achieve his results easily and quickly. It's completely normal if your first few attempts don't turn out as expected. Remember, painting miniatures is all about having fun and enjoying the process, so always take your time and enjoy the journey. With practice and patience, you'll develop your artistic skills and see better results. And if you're looking to improve your technique, investing in better tools can definitely help. Just remember to keep practicing, BE KIND TO YOURSELF, and most importantly, have fun! ✨
