The tips within this tutorial are so good… the caution about tidal marks when using hairdryers, and the tip about lifting the brush where you want the lightest point of highlights… yes! Great stuff.

Well it seemed to take years to get this vid but dang it was worth the wait. Fantastic results.

Thanks! No use for your white robots though :)

@ArtisOpus there's probably a green light or something I can find 😁

Moot Green looks good for the Ork flesh and then mixed with Morghast Bone for the highlight. The bone basecoat gave the green a vibrant raise on the minature piece. Neat work.

Great Ork skin for 40k - for ToW I'd prefer a slightly darker tone :) Wooden or leather/cloth wrapped handles would be an interesting topic. Very minor detail but can have a huge impact :)

They can! Maybe we should do a load of details in one video, they're very similar for a lot of different factions

Given how excited everyone is about this great video, how about one on the color YELLOW! I'm constantly torn on using Base>Layer>Wash versus Contrast paints. What's the best result from your opinion? Thanks in advance

This does look great. I’d love to see a dark one too.

A really simple bright green Ork skin I found is black primer then Loren Forest topped with Mantis Warriors green. It's a great bright but deep green which is great for Orks, but not so great for the Kroot I discovered the combination on😓

Great video, painting Goliaths for Necromunda at the moment, so going to try this with human flesh tones. Would love to see a video on how to add natural looking texture/interest to larger flatter areas of skin (may have a sump croc next in line...😬) possibly other things like tattoos/branding/scars etc.

When I was to paint my blood bowl orc team I used a lot of time finding the right color. It pays off to experiment! Great video and love the result. Btw, the Egg is some kind of silicon with interchangeable cores?

Wow, I missed an entire premiere! That color swatch grid is such a good idea - hopefully I can use it to finally a rich bronze recipe I’m actually happy with! Still hoping for an updated drybrush NMM video. Also, how frequently do you reprime your texture palettes?

i think i tried to make my orcs super bright so i used monument bight yellow green as a base then use militarem green as the shade. that works really well to.

Do you have a video on how to paint large flat models with a brush? I’m going to build and paint a bunch of Imperial Knights and won’t be using an airbrush.

Could you just have made the wash using water? What is the difference?
@ArtisOpus8 күн бұрын
Nope, it'd be a glaze then and wouldn't behave how we wanted (thicker and pooling mostly in recesses, staying workable a little longer)

roughly what ratio of paint to lamian did you use for the wash?
