Thanks for watching. Yes, let the paint dry thoroughly between each layer. I use the hair dryer to set the paint so I can add the next row but to be extra safe, let it dry. Glad you enjoyed this project.

I love these two colors together! I pick up several packages of ornaments last week and have been painting! I have found that the Oui yogurt jars work well also. I usually use paper towel to keep them from getting scratched!

I am using this design on an ornament. I did have trouble with the larger dots wanting to run. I tried mixing several things in my paint because I didn’t have the product you showed. It is not available in the town where I Iive. I tried white glue and Mod Podge and neither seemed to help. I finally tried Alenes tacky glue and so far it seems to help. Still have to be careful how much paint is on the tool.

I'm glad you hit on the tacky glue. You might try having a blow dryer handy and hit it with some air to help firm up. Not too much or you night dry the paint too fast and crack it.

love this design. I would like to try it but have silver, blue and grinch green balls. I am no good at picking colors that go together.I thought I would use silver for the blue balls but could u recommend another color that would go with it. Any thoughts for the grinch green balls. Hi Cathy. What I like to do is search for color palettes and see what comes up. Here's a link to a palette with a green that might be what you have. If not, you can search this site and it will give you tons of ideas on colors to put together. Also, find a paint that is the color you have, do some dotting on card stock with other colors to see how you think they look together. Let me know how it turns out. I'm all for using what you have. Hi Deborah. So glad you liked this project. No, I didn't spray with anything. You have to be careful and experiment if you add sealers to ornaments. I notice that some of the finishes can discolor with a sealer so you would have to experiment. Since these are not handled much, I don't worry about sealing.

What size glass ball are you using and do you have a favorite size?

Hi Beverly. These glass balls were about 2-1/2". This is a great size for hanging on a tree or displaying on an ornament stand. I don't have a favorite size as I use all the way from the minis to bigger. I think it just depends on what appeals. Thanks for watching.

Hi Sandra. I don't spray as they are decorative. I've found adding a spray or brush on varnish can damage the original finish of the ornament. You could try and see if the spray affects the finish.
