How to paint dot mandalas with Kristin Uhrig #48- Seven Circles

This tutorial will show you how to draw a seven circle mandala with a compass, which is the basis for the Seed of Life design. Then I will show you how to dot paint the inside using four simple tools that you can purchase at the grocery store. Craft paints that you already have are fine for this project. But, if you want to create exactly the same colors, all the paints I mixed up in the tutorial are are listed below.

Tools used:
Primary size pencil (for Kindergarten) - use eraser end
Standard size pencil - use eraser end
Essence manicure dotting stylus with ball point
Cake pop stick
Liquitex Gloss Pouring Medium
Liquitex Iridescent Pouring Medium
Small paint cups with lids are Mini storage containers by Bead Landing from Michaels Crafts.

Ruler
General's charcoal white pencil
6x6 canvas board
Paint combinations used:
White- Martha Stewart Wedding cake + Liquitex gloss medium
Pale Yellow- Martha Stewart Wedding Cake + Golden Fluid Hansa Yellow + gloss medium
Bright Yellow- Artists' Loft Cadmium yellow+ Golden Fluid Hansa Yellow+ gloss medium
Yellow Orange- Artists Loft Cadmium yellow + Golden Fluid Vat Orange + gloss medium
Bright Orange- Golden Fluid Vat orange + Liquitex Iridescent medium
Bright Red- Martha Stewart Habarnero + Golden Fluid Pyrrole red+ gloss medium
Fuchsia- Folkart Colorshift Purple Flash +Golden Fluid Magenta+ Martha Stewart Fuchsia
Purple- Martha Stewart Pacific Iris + Purple Flash
Periwinkle- Pacific Iris + Purple Flash + Martha Stewart Indigo
Bright Blue- Martha Stewart Rock Candy Blue + Golden Fluid Phthalo Blue (green shade)
Light Blue- Martha Stewart Rock Candy Blue + gloss medium

Hi, Kristin ! Hope you are well . Great pattern and color choices , as usual. I've made about 5 or 6 of your designs. Finished this one up today. It came nice, overall ! Unfortunately, for some reason the dotting in the center circle came out slightly askew. (Maybe no one else will notice !) Next time I will use a template with guidelines to insure that everything lines up in the center circle. Maybe this info might be helpful to others. Ciao ! And thanks for posting these tutorials. Thank you for this tutorial. It really instpired me. I just completed this design. It is my second mandala. I used the 3.5 circles on a 6x6 canvas just like yours. I seem to have a lot more space around the mandala than you have. It may just be the way it shows up on KZbin, I don't know. Do you have any suggestions on how I can fill in some of the space? I love this pattern and anticipate makeing several more in different colors. Thank you again.

Must ask...what exactly is a ‘cake pop stick’ please Kristin? Never heard of these in the U.K. It looks like a rolled paper stick what we would have a boiled sweet type of lolly stuck on the end of it....?
