Steps given below : 1. Remove the handle 2. Clean the whole surface properly with brush 3. If old color left, remove the residue 4. Sand with 80 no. Paper 5. Clean with clothe 6. Apply primer with a clothe ( Red oxide primer) 7. Sand the prime (most important) to have even surface and to remove extra. 8. Clean with clothe and dust 9. Apply putty first thick in problematic places then evenly in the whole surface. 10. Sand with 220 no. First wet the paper. 11. Mix the synthetic enamel with thinner. 12. Put the paint in a plastic paper and use a roller 13. Apply I tried to give every point. Hope this helps who is not familiar with the language 😅

Not much very little thinner not in perticular ratio... thinner is helpful for hardening of paint it speed up drying process..but make sure the type of thinner should be appropriate for that paint

What is the use of red oxide

Not much, but if there is any corrosion/ rust, red oxide/zinc oxide will definitely help to cure it. But make sure to apply it only on rusty part of almirah, otherwise you have to remove extra red oxide.

sir there is no need to apply primer on putty. and primer and zinc oxide is same thing...the primer we use for iron surfaces is actually zinc oxide. so it doesn't matter you call it primer or zin oxide

@@KRsStories ohh now I understand...🙂🙂 I already have a primer ( ESDEE SUPER EPOXY A.D CHEMICAL RESISTANT TWO PACK EPOXY SYSTEM) which i bought from local store. They said it is a primer for almari, gate.. So the question is whether I can apply this primer instead of red oxide primer on rusty areas? And one more thing,, i didnt need uniform and smooth surface so is it fine to skip the application of putty? Is putty helps to keep strong bond for long life?

I'm not sure as much as i know the procedure to paint iron almirah there is no need to apply primer. putty act as primer and add to smooth finishing look of paint and provide strength to almirah, you should consult local almirah painter or ask at local denting painting workshop for help.
