Like the layout in the tutorial with paint name/brand and brush/brand, and that you summarize in the comments. The words that comes to mind when watching this is "brush control". The years of experience makes it look so easy. When you added the white to the freehand lightning, I was like "there is that brush control." Each time I watch you paint a citadel model I really want to start that army. But I have commited to Alpha Legion and Thousand Sons after watching you paint them for GW earlier. (Although TS pre-heresy scheme using Angron Red Clear Air with a brush over gold in two thin coates)

i personally like to have my Night Lords trimmed in silver instead of gold as it makes them look a little bit more clean and stealthy. I also make use of their armor's surface for large lightning bolts stretching across their armor and various blood splatters but that's just my guys, I feel Night Lords can look however they want to kitbashed as long as their colors are correct.

All gold parts are trim, I can imagine it being super hard to first do the trim and then paint in the main areas of the armour.
