I had crippling depression before I watched this video. I still do, but now I can paint swords.

love it. i'm curious, as to if this could work, with a little glow powder, in a soft white mixed with a lot of the colors, for a powered on look.
@vanessaminiatures70237 ай бұрын
I would wonder about the powder giving texture to the sword. Depends on the medium i guess... I have glow paint that works well

This was an awesome video helped me alot add more flair to my blood angel army now even on little combat blades I do this kinda power blade style. An on bigger power weapons I do a traditional grid or lightning effect ❤

Great tutorial! Sadly, ak acrylics isnt available where i live, what would you substitute the yellow for the green tutorial with? Preferably gw or vallejo Thanks in advance!

I’d say play it safe and just got with a Corax white or maybe even white scar if you want it that extra bright on the trim 👍
@vanessaminiatures702311 ай бұрын
That type of yellow can be found in any company you like, try a paint converter to help you decide 😁

@@possiblyfulgrim3995I wonder if the green sword color scheme would also make for a good plasma gun glow.

@@derpstick5467 honestly? I think it’d look pretty dope!
@derpstick54679 ай бұрын
@@possiblyfulgrim3995 yeah but I’m wondering when I should stop applying the darker green, like I guess I’d want the the top to look the brightest with the tesseract glow and then I put the yellow on the bottom of the coils.

Frost power sword is exactly what I was looking for. Would painting these over a metallic (silver) base give the sword a “metallic” undertone? Or would I just be dulling the contrasts instead

wow, but in magenta, which will use contrast paint? thank you.
@vanessaminiatures70232 жыл бұрын
contrast paints have different opacity, Doomfire Magenta is very thick, but if I had to use it with another, either Luxion Purple or Magmadroth flame depending on the effect i am looking for

@@vanessaminiatures7023 base doomfire magenta and volupus pink for light? What do you think? Thank you.
@vanessaminiatures70232 жыл бұрын
of course, if your intention is not to mix 2 contrasts like i did, Magenta is a good base color, I use a lot of contrast as basinc colors, then highlight with others

For the green sword you said you put tesseract glow as the first layer. But TessGl is way green and your first layer was quite yellow. What paint is correct for layer one on that weapon?
@vanessaminiatures70232 жыл бұрын
it is tesseract yellow 🙃

@fadishalabi8764 Жыл бұрын
idk if this would be any help but Tglow requires A LOT of shaking every single time you use it. more than any other paint i own it settles quickly and very thick. you should be able to see all the green gunk at the bottom dissolve back into the paint, thats how you know its fully mixed@@Thatothertemplar
