Hi, great video. Would wanna ask something off topic, I used MR.HOBBY enamel thinner to rub off my excess panel line drawing, but within seconds my gunpla parts start to crack. What did I do wrong ya? I'm using cotton bud, dip in the thinner, lightly wipe w kitchen towel then lightly rub the panel line that I want to remove. Parts crack. (T.T) Need advise on this.. tq

what primer brand do you prefer for resin kits?

This is indeed one of the most important info to be revealed especially when named " how wo paint resin kit".... I have the same question and assume that it would be either Gaia Notes GS-01 or Mr. Primer Surfacer used in this video. Anyways both of them are good for resin priming.

Can a resin kit be painted exclusively with acrylics + hand paint/sponge? I don't have an airbrush and frankly don't like the mess and noise they make.

It's because the Nu and the Hi-Nu are fan favorite designs for a very long time. Lots of people want to have these two units.

I dont really understand the likability/playability of resin conversion kits like for example the Rg Nu Gundam resin conversion kit why don't you just get the regular rg nu can somebody please explain

I think it’s because resin kits will either convert a model into a version that Bandai have not and/or will not ever produce or because the resin kit provides much more surface detail and/or parts/weapons that the base kit does not provide. Sure the base kits at rg and pg are pretty good with surface detail but Bandai will almost certainly never produce anything that can rival a resin kit in terms of visual detail. As for playability, resin kits aren’t marketed to people who like to play with their gunpla; otherwise more manufacturers would be willing to pre-paint the pieces before selling them and there would be a more diverse amount of options for a wider array of gunpla. Resin kits are for dedicated modelers who want to make their piece as visually appealing as possible. They’re display pieces, models, something that showcases a modeler’s skills. They’re not action figures.

You can also visually see the difference of the resin completed model is heavier. And there's a challenge aspect of it as you can't just snap build it, you need to have all the modelling basics plus a totally different skills to put them together such as using copper rod or metal rod for reinforcement, instant glue, magnet, lots of masking skills needed. Its more time consuming than a Bandai kit.

Good job! One little technical advice, though.. Your lens has kinda horrible focus breathing and its literally everywhere - quite annoying, I have to say. I'd suggest you to switch to manual focus to avoid that issue.

Thank you so much for your feedback! Yup, i find it annoying too. Gonna check the setting on the camera. Manual focus on that lens is not great too 😕 im using sigma 30mm f1.4
