Haven't watched Jean paint for almost4 years. When I became bedridden I realized I never would be able to put everything I was learning into practice. Now that I don't seem able to even sketch or watercolor I will try relaxing and just enjoying the process as it is much like a dance.

Did you use the pebeo water based gutta tube, if so did you iron before painting? How do you set it?

Yes, I used a hot iron to set the gutta.

The colours bleed mostly because of using heavier silk which has no sizing covering the fibers.

I use silk paints to produce fine art, for clothing production I would recommend using silk dye on 100% silk.

thank you, I use stainless steel alligator clips from electronic stores and attach them to a cotton rope to suspend the silk.

Yes, they would be good, just always wash brushes whenever you are finished painting.

No, once they are dry you can iron for 30 seconds to cure.

Paints don't blind as dyes...

Dyes are created by chemical reactions while paints are pigments bonded by a polymer.
