Greetings from NYC David, I say this to let you know that your tutorials are making difference for Modelers all over the world and I learn something new with every video When I saw the word "engine" I thought it was going to be the Fockewulf BMW, I have the Eduard Fockewulf 190 F8 kit but it waits for your radial engine tutorial, the work you did on that engine was simply incredible! But then again so is all of your work Once again Thank You for taking the time to share!

You know a good way of getting paint on those small details if you want to paint your stock plastic control panel/dashboard is to paint a hard flat area white and as long as you make sure there is only a small amount of paint, after the black paint you can press the dashboard onto the area with the white paint. The raised details will now have a coat of white ! :)

Would you have any tips for building 1/24 scale merlin engines as I am building 2 of them for a build project, they are a little more detailed than the one showcased in this video by the way. I also want to say that your videos have inspired me to be better at scalemodeling and to try new techniques that I never would of thought about before, my models have been getting much more realistic as I have been watching your videos, thanks

How would you recommend painting the cable features on a bf109e engine, which is painted black enamel? The instructions show the cable detail painted in gunmetal ( 56 ) but they are really narrow and hard to paint using a brush.

@idaemonplasmo8 жыл бұрын
@miroslavkapusta29678 жыл бұрын
@idaemonplasmo8 жыл бұрын
To jde jednoduše sbrousit jemným smirkem.

Could someone explain how David uses GX100 Super Clear III coat after as it has different from aclrylic base and might melt the acrlylic XF69 coat of water-based paint?
@idaemonplasmo4 жыл бұрын
Hello, Tamiya Xf-69 is not pure acrylic but acrylic-layer and is not water-based. However, you can use super clear III also on Vallejo, citadel water-based colors without problems. GX100 is lacquer varnish buy is not aggressive for other types of colors if you will spray one or two soft layers first.
@AndreyYazo4 жыл бұрын
@@idaemonplasmothank you. and what type of mr. color solvent do you use for GX100?

If you wish to be prototypical Rolls-Royce engines are painted in an 80% gloss black this means everything. ignition leads were often black cotton braided and the name was never painted in. Boring I know and does not make for interesting models but id you wish to be a rivet counter that is how you should paint a Merlin. How do I know? I have access to an un-restored Merlin.

Please, would you be so kind and share the unrestored Merlin shots with us? Searching the original colors and paint of the Spitfire internal parts.

I couldn't resist painting the Rolls Royce lettering in my 1/32 Tamiya spit Merlin's rocker covers. It ain't prototypical but it impresses more visitors that way, usually what they comment on. i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac358/Bebebeelzeubub/spit10.jpg
