How to Paint Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh - Step by Step Tutorial

I started teaching painting classes earlier this year, and this is one of the most popular paintings. Here I'll be breaking down how to paint Starry Night step by step. This is intended as a class for beginners and a simplified approach. Usually, it takes about 3 hours to paint this, but I've got you covered in just 17 minutes. Feel free to grab a glass of wine, cut off your ear, and paint along with me.

What kind of paint did you use? I'm up to the part where I just finished the moons and you take the yellow kind of over part of the way over the bottom of them and my yellow isn't covering them. I am waiting for the coats to dry then going over it until it's all covered over. On coat #3 right now. I am using Grumbacher Acry.ic paint.

I haven't worked with that medium, but I imagine the same concept applies. Start with a yellow background and draw some moons and swirl around them in blue layers - getting lighter blues every layer. Follow this video and use your cake as a canvas and please let me know how it goes!!
