How to paint Winter Camouflage

In this short video I'll be white washing a Bolt Action Russian IS-2 tank that I painted up in a previous video, getting it ready for combat in winter conditions, where a deep green tank hull would stick out like a sore thumb. I was hesitant to do this as I really loved the finished product on the last vehicle, but it needed white washing, and after weeks of trial and error (that poor old predator...) I got the effect I was looking for. It's simple and effective, and with the added weathering you can get them looking great on the tabletop.

Great! It's nice to see a method that's much easier than what scale modelers typically use, but still produces an interesting effect that'd be cool on the tabletop.

A little late to the party but a very helpful video, thanks! I did find out earlier this month that if you add a spot of washing up liquid to the white, it will reduce the surface tension and stop it pooling so you get a nice smooth application.

Love the look of this mate. Usually use the rattle cam method for my German vehicles but as it’s so cold here in the uk am going to try this method for my bolt action m18 hellcat.

Apparently so! 🤣 I was painting this up for someone who won a painted tank in a raffle and they asked for that logo. I always wondered where it came from! :🙌🙌😊
