I'm Finally getting to a point where I can not push so hard on every job to make it "perfect". I have given away a lot of time this past year obsessing over every small thing. I have watched All your videos. Some of them 3 or 4 times, going back to rewatch older videos. You have a much more practical attitude about the lower cost jobs. I'm getting there. Also just got myself a part time prep guy to help me push out more jobs. That helps a lot. New years goal...get the jobs done faster. Stop giving away time. Work to the level of pay. Be more like Marco in that regard🙃✌️✌️✌️

What about heating the clear up? I’ve heard from a couple of people that they heat up the clear coat in a bucket of warm water before spraying in cold temps. I’ve never tried it but it sounds interesting.
@speedokoterefinishnetwork4937 Жыл бұрын
Helps thin the clear out so it sprays more easy, does also help it cure a bit faster

Finally made a Speedokote order! I'm excited. Can't decide if I'ma go with smr-130 or smr-42. They both seem like good products. It's just my old 89 civic sedan personal vehicle. I might go with the smr-130 but I know the smr-42 is great also. It'll be warm in no time here in TN it's already in the 70's. I'm trying to hurry but not half ass things lol.

I’ve been using this clear for about a year now. For dealer work it’s perfect. Put a curing lamp on it and you can buff it in 30 mins. Love it

Exactly! It's pretty wild stuff. For restoration work I stick with smr42 or ss1200 stuff like that

Purchasing the speedocoat products to paint my own vehicle. 07 Range Rover 😬 hoping it goes well! I seen a video where you used an airless spray gun to do a job and came up with the idea to try mine out with the TC pro by graco. Will film the process as it’s my first attempt at car painting ever and I’m already risking it with the airless sprayer lol but idk I’m up for the challenge and am hoping it comes out well. Using: Speedokoat black primer Speedocoat high gloss jet black Any recommendations?

Would not go airless if you want good results

Looks good to me! Question, as a hobby, I buy salvage Vicks and Grand Marques and I do the body work but I've lost my painter due to heart issues after his last brooster! So now I'm trying to come up to speed to start painting my cars. I'm liking the single stage but now worried about my 40 degree garage and spraying single stage... I got to get my 2004 Vick painted Chestnut or Walnut Brown to get room for an 2005 Grand Marques that will need a full Arizona Beige paint job... I feel comfortable painting, lots of paint jobs done in the 1980s :)

If using fast activator and doing light to med coats should be fine

What clear do you recommend for overalls in cold temps? I only do overalls and mainly full color changes and lots of high metallic base colors . I used the high solids production clear from speedokote with fast reducer for two overalls last winter and only issue i had was runs otherwise the depth and gloss was amazing. I love how yalls glamour clear turns out and was wondering if that would be okay to use for overalls in cold temps if i order it with the fast reducer. What would you recommend for overall clear in cold temps?

I'm still playing around with things myself... So far I've been having pretty good luck with the smr135, smr42 is a no go for winter. Doesn't dry well The fast dry Euro ain't a bad option for winter.
@AustonCarroll11 ай бұрын
Okay awesome 👌 I saw how the euro clear came out in the video of the bronco I believe it was; and It looked awesome. I'll definitely try one of the two and let you know. Haven't had a booth the past half year because I ran out of funds to get a building after pouring my concrete slab for it at home. Finally said fuck it and I'm buying a 26x15 blow up booth to go on the slab then setting up a power box to run my compressor and lights. It's Been killing me all year getting calls and messages from clients and not being able to do anything 🙃 I put out word ill be painting again soon and already have a del sol and a vert e36 lined up 😁 ready to start spraying again 🤙

Hey Marco I need an express clear for repair work but Im afraid the 105 is gonna be too shiny. Can you recommend something not as shiny? Would the smr130 or 110 have less shine? I just want something I can lay out somewhat smooth In cooler weather. Im struggling with the upol 2882 Im using. It runs and sags and it also dyes back pretty bad in colder weather
