Have finally taken the plunge and ordered myself my first upgrade parts, only a barrel, hop unit, hop rubber and deans connectors so no real complicated stuff but looking forward to giving it a go and making my arthurian mk18 my own.

It has been done! Took longer than I thought it would but that all part of learning. Deans connection swap was stressful haha rest was easy enough....might have to look at changing my trigger and cylinder set up now! Gears seem fine I don’t want a higher rof just a more consistent FPS

Fine, any paint will wear off over time without lacquer though.

Ryan Fortune white spirit isn’t really strong enough, you really need something thinners based BUT! Thinners will melt some plastics so be very careful. Another thing you can used is niromors but you really need to be carful where you use it.

Hello. Pete. How did you find the Krylon paint ? How long does it take to go hard ? Does it go hard. ? Iv tried some myself prepped the surface cleaned etc. But 3 days later the paint can still be scratched off with a finger nail and moderate pressure ?

9080rigaxe Krylon is great, it’s dry to the touch after 20 minutes but I recommend leaving it a week to go properly hard. It’s dry in 24 hours but to really go off it needs time. If you want it to be really tough, you can use a matt clear coat. 👍

9080rigaxe also make sure you rough any smooth surfaces, clean etc. That makes a huge difference.

9080rigaxe pistols can be tricky as there are lots of places to ware. You might need a metal primer to help.

If you mean the 25 year warranty, it shouldn’t as it has not mechanical effect but, personally, I don’t think the 25 year warranty is worth anything. It’s just words.

No, the A2/MapleLeaf shaft is more durable and made of the same material as real guns.

Airsoft Physik less work, but not as nice. I don’t like painting guns in one piece, as if you are not careful with the masking, you can get paint where you don’t want it. You can also get it in screw heads, which is always messy when you take it apart.

Just curious, we can't get those CYMA MP5' in the states and I know your gonna throw a mosfet and a Dean's connection and was wondering if you did those upgrades to it would you be willing to sell it and ship it to me... Completely serious, I'm 35 not some little kid and I'm getting my taxes back soon but if you think it'd be cheaper or a better idea to get the VFC one with the Gen2 Avalon gearbox and buying the railed handguard let me know

I wonder why he didn't do a top dead center hop up adjustment on this rifle I really dislike the sliding style they are a pain to adjust with gloves and they snag on your gear and brush
