Just a little tip, sample off 10 like you been doing then add another 10 to verify you have 20, if its wrong try again or sample it at a higher number. should improve accuracy of the count. This what i used to do at a factory counting tiny parts. some were so small we had to sample 100 but we are talking batches of 10,000 parts.

Curious how often you find yourself using the full weight capacity (6.6 lbs) of this scale. I noticed on Amazon that there is also a 3.3 lb capacity scale by Amston Scales, which (at least right now) has the exact same price of $229.95 as the 6.6 lb version. The 3.3 lb scale has a resolution of .0001 lb or .05 gram, twice as accurate as your .0002 lb or .1 gram scale. I'm thinking twice the accuracy will be more helpful to me than having twice the capacity.

2 questions... do you recommend any other scales that are cheaper? Also what about a scale for shipping weight to determine shipping costs? Same with boxes? I'm new to all this trying to start up a store the right way. Thank you

For those of you that are on a budget and do not want to shell out the $230 for this scale I recommend you buy the Etekcity kitchen scale. it is only $10 and the only difference would be you would have to do the math yourself rather than typing in how many you added to the scale.

Yeah, It's nice to have it do it for you, but math is much cheaper! If I were going back and starting over, I would not have purchased this so early on. Probably a waste of money in the very beginning. Thanks for the tips!

I tried doing this the other day with 1x4 Bricks and it was unfortunately off by 120 bricks, unfortunately the scale was not the most accurate!

@@BlackerBricks i might have to point out that a kitchen scale isnt accurate for this application. Bite the bullet and invest some more money to get a good reading and accurate part count. the scale in the video is about 250 bucks new, yours about 15...

Waste of $$$$ just count it by hand... I'm literally counting my inventory into Bricklink I'm over 500,000 in parts , and still counting it's not that difficult
