One of the first interviews I had I failed because I was a novice at interviews. It was pretty funny though. I turned the tables and started asking the interviewer questions. It caught him so off guard, but he answered well, but it was a vague answer because he wasn't prepared for it. Totally caught him off guard. So, moral of the story is, it is really easy to prepare and pose questions at someone. But, it is harder to answer the questions.

Today I found out the camera on my laptop doesn’t work, this happened during my interview. The computer is new and I haven’t dropped it or anything. The thing failed on me and hopefully it didn’t cost me a new job opportunity. Thank god for having my iPad in handy. I’m just losing my mind why this happened to me after preparing all weekend long for this. The delayed lasted 5-6 mins, not good.

@@IdinSabahipour one of the two attorneys didn’t make it a big deal, he still conducted the interview. He knew I was trying to be as professional as I could by using a laptop for my zoom interview. The other attorney did look frustrated, he even walked away to take a call. Hopefully that wasn’t a bad sign.

Hey Catherine! I did fewer applications each year I applied. I think I did around 10-12 applications in my last round. Most people I've spoken to have done fewer. What I'd say is that you should do as many as you can as long as: 1) they're all done to a high enough level of quality (well-researched and written); and 2) the firms are ones you're actually interested in (cause who wants to end up at a firm that they're not interested in for 2 years?!) I hope that helps!
