In my experience on the hiring side of things, fluency is the biggest factor is determining if a BPO applicant hits the Common European Framework proficiency level of B2--which is what most call centers want. A B2 can fully narrate a cohesive story, give coherent and clear instructions, and can--most importantly--defend a stance. If for example you are asked your stance on a social issue, like the drug war, you must be able to lucidly defend your stance. Your actual stance doesn't matter and the assessor could not care less what you believe--you just have to be able to defend it beyond merely saying "that's my opinion, so there." An assessor will likely test this by giving the applicant a contrary stance, and when this happens, DO NOT respond with "well, that's what they say, I respect that." That is not a defense of your stance, it tells the assessor that you likely cannot conjure up the words to elucidate your thoughts and you will likely get a B1 instead of a B2. As a final tip, avoid discussing religion in a Berlitz assessment. In my experience, this makes the applicant defensive once the assessor inevitably questions said beliefs. Again, the assessor doesn't actually want to attack your beliefs per se, he just wants to know if you are fluent enough to explain your stance.

For most BPO companies nowadays, hindi na ganyan eh yung style ung Berlitz nila! Upgraded na! Dati manually (one on one interview), ngaun through computer na (you and your pc). Just to help other getting an idea. So di xa nakakakaba keysa dati! I also experienced that nun!

I took Berlitz sa first BPO ko. Di na siya live call, bale PC na lang kaharap mo tapos may mga scenario/kwento na sasagutan mo using your own word. Example: Gusto maging vegetarian ng kaibigan mo, anong ia-advice mo sa kanya?

@@elogb75 di ko alam kung anong language assessment sa vxxi, basta linawan mo lang ang bigkas mo ng mga salita. Di naman kailangang may accent ka, basta malinaw lang pasok sa banga na yun
