I think the key in reading the RXPREP for success is to test yourself after each section and make sure you understand what you just read. Make it a marathon not a sprint. Also, if you need to think of the formula or conversion, then you are not ready for the exam. Make sure you get those calculations like they are a joke and be sure to get all the math right as they cannot trick you on those and I consider the math questions as give me points. Also, make sure to note what units they want the answer in, they might state something in mg, but want the answer in grams or micrograms.

One of my questions "how many days can Levemir be left at room temperature." These questions do show up. That exam was ridiculous.

Can you tell me if the style of the exam has changed... Does the exam continue to ask questions in a subject that you keep missing answers in, or is it somewhat standardized?
@thepharmacistacademy5 жыл бұрын
Yes the exam is still adaptive ... so if you keep getting questions wrong for a specific subject, the exam will most likely ask you questions from that subject.
@vinaysanyasi57745 жыл бұрын
It is NOT adaptive. Refer to NABP Bulletin..it says it is a "Fixed Form".
@love_nyc_4 жыл бұрын
No, naplex is not adaptive. MPJE, on the other hand, is adaptive.
@chrisgeorge98084 жыл бұрын
Is the naplex really 50% math? On the 2020 naplex bulletin on the nabp website, I am seeing there are 2 areas of the exam with 33% of the exam as area 2. Within the subtopics in area 2, calculations is 1 of 3 different subtopics, so it seems as if math should be less than 33% of the exam. That's just my reasoning based on the naplex bulletin. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated!
@thepharmacistacademy4 жыл бұрын
Hello Chris, yes you're absolutely right. Over the years the percentage of calculations on the test has decreased. Last year there was a lot of sterile and non sterile compounding. This year may be slightly different as well.

You don’t need to take it right away. I would recommend you take it though, because you don’t want to forget what you learned in school. I did a PGY1 and PGY2 residency after graduating.
