Boas's sign is hyperaesthesia (increased or altered sensitivity) below the right Hypochondrium or 12th rib region, which can be a symptom in acute cholecystitis (inflammation of the gallbladder). It is one of many signs a medical provider may look for during an abdominal examination.

Rovsing sign-pain elicited in the right lower quadrant with palpation pressure in the left lower quadrant-is a sign of acute appendicitis.

Murphy's sign is elicited in patients with acute cholecystitis by asking the patient to take in and hold a deep breath while palpating the right subcostal area. If pain occurs when the inflamed gallbladder comes into contact with the examiner's hand, Murphy's sign is positive.

I experienced severe shoulder pain after Laparoscopic Surgery. To me I think it’s the tapped air that they fill in the tummy to enable them visualize the organ being operated upon. It’s horrible and helpless pain!! 😢

Bloomberg's sign is diagnosed by: Use your finger to slowly press down on the abdominal wall at the HCP, pressing deeper until the patient feels pain. Normally, the patient will not feel pain, but if appendicitis or irritation of the peritoneum, the patient will feel pain, when RELEASING the finger, the patient's pain will increase.
