I wanted to come here and add my Thank You as well. I have studied the book intensely and done about 40 online practice tests, so my mind was fried by the time I got to the evening before my test. I did not want to waste time though, so I watched all but 1 of your Life in the UK videos that night and in the morning of my test. I got a question about who wrote the poem called Daffodils and I did not know the answer. I did however remember you saying something along the lines of 'if we are talking poems, then the answer will be the WWW guy' so I picked William Wordsworth, which was the correct answer. 👍

I didn’t get any sportsman/inventor questions Only 1 questions on famous author! I’d say memorise the key people but not everyone lol

Hi all, The minimum age required to buy a national lottery ticket is 18 according to the gov.uk website it came into legal effect on 1 October 2021. Do you think the test centres have updated this or it will be the same as the book?

Yea it’s changed now to 18 years old. It used to be 16 in the original 2015 edition book. Thank you for pointing that out. The real exam answer is 18 years old to gamble and national lottery ticket. Also for smoking as well.

Yes. It always confuses me with the wording however a child is allowed to drink a glass of wine with their meal under the supervision of an adult. I'm not sure if this question has come up recently in the test but that is the rule!

I think it has changed now to 18 years old. The book itself has not been updated since (3rd edition) written in 2015 so I don't think this will be updated in the real test. I think the question may not come up anymore as a result.
