The first time we did a mock state board I was STRESSING 😭 I hate how we’re timed lol I’m the worst too! I’m so ready for this part to be over!! But srsly this helped so much already 💜

Roller set was the worst especially on my model who had long hair. Which they recommend your model has medium length hair so it won't be as difficult for state boards .Still remember perm rods had to do single , double and book ends. The day before my state board I still hadn't found a model thank God that one of the teachers was able for me to do her daughter and I passed first time. The Written I would of loved to do it online but they made us go to the health department in Providence to take it. One thing you forgot to mention was how they take points off for not sanitizing between each task or using clean tools.

I graduated in California and we had to do 1600 hours it took me a year and 3 months but it should’ve taken only 11 months but i took 2 weeks off because i had a family death but it was the best decision ive ever made

@Nicole - in cosmetology school , every teacher had their own way of how they do their fingerwaves , it was really annoying. But once you continue to practice on the manaquean, you will get the hang of it even just the first row .
