Granted, he wasn't a distinguished professional, he was professional.

Counterstrike since fking 1.6 days ALWAYS relied on a proper monitor, settings, internet connection, etc. We used to type in like 100 console commands in 1.6, source and go. Hell we even abused one that made the game "influence lag more" so people would whiff shots. We had a lot of crazy stuff. Sure they reduced it way down and disabled some of them but I mean its STILL not surprising that it requires good hardware, internet, and settings to make the game function properly. Summit AS A PRO PLAYER definitely knew this too. CS isn't pay to win in the traditional sense like card games or mobile games, but as an ex-semi pro I know for fact its either raw natural talent or hardware that carries people to the next level. (most people wont be able to adjust to the problems when they cant rationalize them based upon hardware, internet and settings issues and will stay hardstuck because of it, where people with natural talent tend to adapt to said things and overcome them naturally. It's a weird phenomenon tbh)

CS2 is definetely a big improvement from CS:GO, but I refuse to play it until they add left-handed player model or at least the visual for it. After 20+ years, it's absolutely terrible to play right-handed. I get that this is not a priority as of this moment, but hopefully in 1 year time... Hopefully.

It depends on the game/implementation as far as I know. My understanding that boost tries to prevent your GPU from clocking down and tries to keep it pushing as many frames as possible, since maybe the ramp up time of the clocks can cause weird framepacing stuff. I'm talking out of my ass here though I'm not sure if I'm correct.

so true i cant truly warm up playing DM or casual. Just to chaotic and most the people dont even worry about bomb. The amount of times time's ran out in a 1v1 and no one is near the bomb. I like to practice 5v5 with bots. lol Gives you that confidence, can practice smokes and head taps.

i use reflex on +boost to counter my vsync/gsync. i found the game ran better at fps_max 0 and capping my fps with vsync but im on a low end budget gpu. might not be the same for everyone

You generally don’t want g-sync on shooters, I’ve been getting better stability limiting the fps to my monitors refresh tho.

@@mushiim8youre right. but like i said my gpu is really bad, so to compensate i let my monitor adjust refresh rates to match what my gpu can produce. if i turn it off i drop alot of frames and my gpu cant keep the fps at the same as my monitors refresh rate which causes tearing even with vsync. i plan on grabbing a 4060 in a few months then i wont have to do all this trickery to have a steady fps lol.

Nvidia reflex only benefits if you lock your FPS to a pretty low one (relatively speaking), summit getting 350+ FPS means that theres very little benefit for him since the frametimes are already that low.

So apparantly I was wrong on this one, what I meant is that Nvidia reflex works best in GPU-bound scenarios. Keep your FPS unlocked (GPU utilization >95%) and enable Nvidia reflex for lower input latency. If nvidia reflex is not available then you should lock your FPS so that your GPU utilization never goes above 95%, BUT in certain esport titles that are pretty easy on the GPU like Valorant keep your FPS unlocked.@@augie6735
