Every day if you're an heavy user or anytime you need to use it if otherwise. Thanks always Depending on your machine type, the last number should be for loose stitches and the next should be ok for sewing. Thanks always

Set the feed dogs to silk so that the material does get caught in them adjust the pressure of the pressure foot to allow the material to be sewn without stretching while going through the machine. You will also need to adjust the thread tension
