I chop up onions a lot. Especially when making Italian lasagna all from scratch. The trick to getting those onion skin layers off is to use the knife to make a slit in the skin all the way through. Watch the video to see this trick in action! This makes peeling onions a lot simpler. Cutting onions can be equally fast. Thank goodness that onions come in rings... they are already cut one way! Cut them quickly and easily without dirtying an onion chopper and before your eyes start to cry!!
